There's really not much to update. While I am feeling somewhat better, I still feel icky. I feel fine during the day but around 5-8 is when things go down hill and at some point, I just have to get to bed. It depends on the day but it's either heartburn, headaches, nausea or just plain exhaustion. It's really not that bad. We have started purchasing stuff. Target had some great deals so I bought a play mat and tub. Plus, BRU had our pnp, travel system and highchair on sale. My mother bought the travel system and pnp. My MIL has offered to buy the crib and bought a bunch of little things that she gave me this weekend. It's funny too because she said not knowing the sex was cramping her style yet I think she bought alot of stuff! So, that's very cool!! Now, we're counting down to the next US which will hopefully reveal the sex. two more weeks!
And, here's what baby is up to this week!
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Congrats on 14w! My m/s was always worst in the evenings... I didn't feel reliably better until 17w, unfortunately. Do not hesitate to ask for nausea meds. It made a night and day difference, but I didn't get 'em until 16w. Oh well. Sounds like you're having fun w/ the shopping. Great score on the travel system!
Hang in there!
I know a lot of people who say they woke up one day and their MS was just gone. Poof! It wasn't like that for me, it was very gradual. Sounds like your is somewhat gradual too. Hopefully you're on the back end now and the ickiness will soon be gone altogether.
Congrats on 14 weeks!!
How wonderful that you, your mom and MIL have started purchasing items for the baby :o).
Looking forward to the big reveal!!
Wishing you all the best for a beautiful pregnancy.
